Today started off with a quiet time led by Ashley and then started into some work on GBC orientation (group building course) and continued to a deep clean of the kitchen! Mary Walker and I organized and used our label maker to get everything in an organized space. Today was a lot of cleaning for everyone-we got assigned to our cleaning areas that we will be in charge of over the summer and learned how to manage it. MJ led the next discussion of Light of the World-we broke into our small groups to look at some of the passages. Started brainstorming on what the staff skits would be, based on the theme and came up with one demonstrating God's Light and Sharing God's Light. The first skit demonstrates sharing His light and how it can't be extinguished no matter what obstacles it faces. We worked on our Security Team dance, either the Jai Ho dance again or one from 500 Days of Summer :) I voted for Hoedown Throwdown, but the boys weren't big fans. Mary Walker and I decided to do make your own pizza night and have everyone create what they wanted...some of the boy's looked more like a nacho pile there were so many weird toppings. Had some singing and guitar time after dinner on the porch, and even was convinced to participated in the boy's bonding time of smoking pipes-keepin' it classy Troutdale.
